The practice of ENT-HNS (Otorhinolaryngology) involves diagnosis, medical treatment and surgical intervention for a variety of problems, conditions or diseases affecting the ear, nose and throat as well as related areas of head and neck region.

More About Us:

The department of ENT Head & Neck Surgery PIMS, is an internationally recognized center of excellence for the treatment of Head & Neck Cancers apart from its work in ENT related diseases. The department is a 26 bedded facility with fully functional Adult and Pediatric OPDs and also provides surgical facility to both adult and pediatric population.

➢ Surgical ward 04 is allocated for admission for all those patients suffering from ENT-HNS related diseases and taken care of by with latest equipment by all the time readily available resident doctors and specialized nursing staff. The ward round is performed by senior consultants daily in morning and evening.

• OPERATION THEATER
➢ Purpose-Built Operation Theater Suit with Pre-Operative and Recovery Rooms.
➢ State Of The Art Provisions for Aseptic Technique (Sterilization Unit and Controlled Ventilation), Electro-cautery, And Hydraulic Operation Tables with Adjustable LED Lights and Central Supplies.
➢ Latest Equipment for Induction and Maintenance Anesthesia and Per-operative Patient Monitoring.
➢ General Purpose Instrumentation along with that required for ENT and Head & Neck Surgery.

Research & Academics

• Research and Academics:
More than 190 original research papers published in national and international journals by the Department of ENT-HNS since inception.
Sixty seven doctors trained at the department have obtained their fellowship from the college of physicians and surgeons and thirteen have obtained there ms ent degrees from ShaheedZulfiqar Ali Bhutto Medical University.
• Department follows a structured training programme.
• The department has teaching schedule with immense healthy academic environment in addition to the best indoor and outdoor patient care. There are sixteen post-graduate residents currently working in the department. 
• The entire syllabus is covered under six subheadings as a bimonthly schedule followed by a mcq’s or short essay quiz.
• Six regular teaching sessions per week at the beginning of the day.

3. Grand Round: Friday
4. Journal Club: Monday
• Joint cancer clinic with nori: Saturday (going on for last 20 years).
• Regional meetings (Isb/rwp): every 3rd month (going on for last 20 years).
• Medical record keeping is done by the Post graduate residents.
• Video session for teaching surgical skills, radiology session, and pathology slides review are part of the academic programe.
• FCPS intensive courses.
